The reproductions of the fifty-eight charts and views are from Cook’s three voyages. Sheets XXV — XLII concern the second voyage; sheets XLI and XLII are of particular Antarctic interest, being early representations of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The former was rediscovered and the latter was discovered by Cook’s party in the Resolution during the second voyage. Rosove 79-1.A1.
