Southern Lights is a well written first person narrative of an important expedition which established that Graham Land, in the Weddell Sea, was part of the Antarctic Continent and not an archipelago. Containing two chapters by A. Stephenson and a historical introduction by Hugh Robert Mill. The British Graham Land Expedition’s objectives were simple: “experience the adventure of polar living, matching danger and daring while exploring Graham Land by ship, sledge and airplane". This book is a very good read.
