This classic of Antarctic exploration from Shackleton’s Endurance Expedition recounts the epic open boat journey from Elephant Island across the Southern Ocean and first crossing of South Georgia from the perspective of the navigator, Frank Worsley. Although based on Worsley’s earlier work, Endurance (1931), this edition is called the Black Jacket edition following the 1933 First Edition published by Philip Allan & Co.
